"Let them vibrate. It is their nature, and our reality."

Sadly, mechanical vibration is too often treated as an enemy — loud, complex, expensive, they say. A headache they would rather ignore, bury, or lock down.

That's a normal instinct. But a dangerous one, if you ask me.

You cannot suppress a system's natural tendency, nor can you circumvent a natural frequency.
Avoidance only delays the failure.

Stop chasing silence. One understood oscillation is worth a thousand forced constraints. Think about vibrations like teenagers — expressing themselves is best. You will gain in performance, confidence, time, and peace of mind.

My approach: I don't throw standard fixes at a symptom. I decipher the root cause — why your system wants to move, how it wants to move, and what it is telling you. By understanding exactly that, we can define the right strategies for designing, modelling, testing and validating.

Ensuring harmony, safety, and continuous operation.

Question: this problem that's currently puzzling you, where does it sit?

Answer A: in your mind

Answer B: on your computer

Answer C: in your lab

Answer D: in operation

You have:
a need or an idea or both.

You would like:
to take advantage of vibrations, to control them,
or to work against them.

Let's do design.

You have:
a preliminary drawing or a finalised design.

You would like:
to predict the behaviour of the system before it exists.

Let's do modelling.

You have:
a manufactured component or a full-scale prototype.

You would like:
to acquire rich data and to make sense of them.

Let's do signal processing.

You have:
a headache.

You would like:
to understand an unexpected drift, wear, noise, peak, crack, rattle, loosening, instability.

Let's do troubleshooting.

Why trust an independent consultant?

I have an unconventional career path: a deep and extensive academic expertise in structural dynamics, nonlinear vibrations, and other fancy stuff — paired with solid field experience across sectors like space, aeronautic, defence, mechatronic, marine engineering and beyond.

PhD ULiège · Postdocs FNRS, VUB, Duke, TU/e · Professor KU Leuven. Co-founder of nonlinearbenchmark.org.
Editorial board of Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing.

And now independent — no product to sell, no method to impose. Just the right answer for your system.
